In a world under siege by the sinister Illiterati, it's up to you, a valiant member of the League of Librarians, to stand up for literacy. The Illiterati have taken control, and only your wordplay prowess can save the day.
Real-Time Wordplay:
Illiterati is not your ordinary word game; it's a heart-pounding, real-time adventure where words are your weapons and books your battleground. Each player starts with five letter tiles and a red torched book, each featuring a unique condition to restore the book. Can you meet the challenge, such as using 8+ tiles with at least 3 green symbols or creating words that are all related to animals?
Co-operative Challenge:
Collaboration is key in Illiterati. Work with your fellow players to strategize, form words, and achieve your book-binding goals. Trade letters, share ideas, and race against the clock as you strive to protect knowledge.
Three-Minute Showdowns:
The game unfolds in intense three-minute rounds. Before each round, draw seven letter tiles from the bag to add to your arsenal. Once the countdown begins, it's a flurry of wordplay as you race to complete your book's conditions.
Burn or Restore:
Beware, the library must not overflow with letters, or a burn event triggers! Burned letters are lost, and you risk losing the game. But if you preserve your letters and meet your book's criteria, flip your red book face down and draw a new goal from a blue waterlogged book.
Villains and Challenges:
Prepare to face Illiterati villains with their unique effects. Draw an illiterati villain card at the end of each round and brace for impact. These villains can disrupt your carefully crafted words, adding another layer of challenge.
The Final Chapter:
The ultimate test awaits as you tackle the Final Chapter. All players must complete this challenge together in the same round. Will you create words using 12+ tiles with matching vowels? Victory awaits those who unite to overcome this final hurdle.
